Seagull

Seagull flies above the sea and sand
I watch him from the beach and I understand
The meaning of a freedom of the skies
a prison here below I close my eyes

Seagull I want to fly..... away from here

Watch them way up high above the bay
turn into the wind and soar away
then dip and bank and sudden fall away
I could do that; simply play all day

Seagull I want to fly..... away from here

See them as they gracefully glide by
and never cast a glance on you or I
I wish I could take to wing and fly away
I'd never cast a backward glance this way
